The Faculty seeks to recruit a lecturer for Secondary Teacher Education Programme (STEP). This is a course of study for practicing and prospective teachers, run by the Institute of Education in collaboration with the Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS).

You will contribute to teaching modules on the MTeach for the Secondary Teacher Education Programme (STEP), a joint Masters with the Institute of Ismaili Studies. Modules will include, typically, Understanding Teaching, Leading Learning Research and Professional Practice and Practice-based Enquiry and Practice-Based Enquiry (STEP) and take responsibility for the tutoring of a MTeach group on the IIS STEP programme.

You will have a higher degree or equivalent experience in an area relevant to teacher education and experience of teacher education and a background in teaching in schools. You will also have the beginnings of a track record with regard to research in an education and/or social science field.

In view of the nature of the work involved, any offer of appointment will be conditional on a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure.
