This post is available in September for 24 months in the first instance.  

We are seeking to appoint an Information Security Analyst who will be responsible for the development and enforcement of an institutional security policy, procedures and appropriate standards.  This includes the development, roll-out, the on-going maintenance of a security awareness programme to all IOE staff and students and ISO27001 accreditation. 

Although the Information Security Analyst is based within IT Services, the post holder will be the Institute’s leading expert on Information Security and will serve a critical role, spanning a number of service areas and engaging with other key stakeholders in matters relating to information security and business continuity.

You should have a good honours degree in Computing or a degree with a significant computing element and significant industry experience of working in IT Security.  IT industry certification such as CISSIP or CISM is highly desirable.

In addition you should have strong communication, organisational and time management skills and a service-orientated approach.  Experience of planning and working to deadlines, using initiative and working flexibly as a member of a busy team are also essential qualities.
