This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the work of TCRU. You will take responsibility for an area, or areas, of work in TCRU eg, parenting and families; social pedagogy and services for children; social aspects of health and well being; or early years. This post is expected to be complementary with our Reader post (also being advertised - ref 10AC-CLCFH-5183), with different areas of expertise represented.
You will lead and support the development of research and consultancy projects as part of a portfolio of academic activity, and generate research funding for yourself and others in TCRU. You will take overall responsibility for project design, day-to-day management, delivery and dissemination, and contribute to the advancement of scholarship through publications and other research activity.
You will possess a doctorate or comparable research experience in psychology, sociology or another relevant social science field and a strong publications record, including publications likely to be highly rated in a future Research Excellence Framework (REF). You will have a proven and sustained excellent track record of generating substantial grant funding and significant experience in directing projects and managing research staff.
In view of the nature of the work involved, any offer of appointment will be conditional on a satisfactory Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure.
