How to apply for a vacancy
Making an online application
We recommend making an online application, as the process is quick and user friendly.
If you wish to make an online application you will need to register to access the secure application part of this site. To register you simply need to provide some personal details which will go some way to completing the first stage of the application process. Please note that you will be able to change this information at Step 1 of the application process if required.
Once you have registered you will have access to the secure application process, which consists of eight simple steps in which we will ask you for the information required for your chosen vacancy. You will need to complete each step fully before you can submit your application for consideration. While you are proceeding through the online steps your application is in a pending stage and none of your information is available to the Institute of Education. Only once you have submitted the application in the final step will your application be available for consideration.
You do not need to complete the whole application process in one go. If you do not have time or the information required is not at hand you may complete the rest of the application at any time up to midnight on the day the job closes. As you proceed through each step of the application process your details are saved and any information you have entered will be retained. To return to the eRecruitment system to complete an application, or to submit subsequent applications, simply login using your email address and the password you created when you registered. Applications will be accepted by the system up to 10.00pm on the job closure date, after which time the system will advise you that the job has closed if you try to submit. If you decide to apply for a another post at the Institute, you may use the information which has been saved on your previous applications. However the system will only allow you to complete and submit one application at a time. Please do not leave application submission until the last minute, as this can result in a bottleneck near the closure time.
If you have any technical difficulty in submitting your application please telephone Patti Gram, HR Services Manager, on 020 7911 5516, Monday through Friday between 10am and 6pm GMT. You may also email email@example.com.
